Chatsworth Christmas Market is an occasion that we all look forward to. The fun and festivities of the traditional Christmas market are what get us all in the festive spirit. From food to fake snow, mulled wine to marshmallows, there is something for everyone at Chatsworth Christmas Market. Every year from November to December, Chatsworth allows you to soak up all of the cheer and creativity of its Christmas Market. Let’s take a look at what makes Chatsworth Christmas Market so special.

Christmas Shopping

This year, Chatsworth Christmas Market was home to over 100 market stalls, each one offering variety and bespoke products different from the last. From Christmas decorations to handcrafted stocking fillers, the crowds of excited visitors were truly spoilt for choice. Chatsworth Christmas Market is a great place to find gifts and decorations that are truly unique and representative of small independent businesses. If you’re looking to find gifts for yourself or loved ones, Chatsworth Christmas market was your ticket to a world of unique and interesting products from local and family-run businesses. However, Chatsworth Christmas Market doesn’t just stop at the festive stalls.

During the festive period, you could still explore Chatsworth’s own range of shops. The Orangery shop in the gardens, the Stables shop in the Stables courtyard and the farm shop also offered a range of home and fashion gifts as well as lots of lovely stocking fillers. Whether it’s Chatsworth inspired gifts, contemporary jewellery, kids books or fresh produce, there truly was something to suit all tastes. Chatsworth Christmas Market is famous for its festive feel and authentic gifts and this year Paguro was grateful to be a part of that. We showcased a huge variety of our upcycled bags, jewellery and accessories as well as our handcrafted inner-tube Christmas decorations. Exploring the markets later in the day allowed you to experience the market at dusk, giving it a truly magical and festive feel. With festive music, food and lights, there is no better place to start your Christmas shopping than at Chatsworth Christmas Market.

Festive Food and Drink

Chatsworth Christmas Market had all the things needed to make your shopping experience a relaxing one – a huge variety of food and drink that lets you take the weight off your feet and the stress from your shoulders all while getting you in the festive spirit. With traditional outdoor bars pouring everything from mulled wine to German beer, there was something for everyone. If food is something at the top of your list and you were looking for something to tuck into with your drink then Chatsworth Christmas Market is your ticket to home-cooked festive treats. Whether its gourmet burgers, German sausage, hot roast pork or something a little sweeter, Chatsworth had it all. Chatsworth Christmas Market was also complemented by live music that was guaranteed to get you in the festive spirit.

Traditional Twilight Evenings

Chatsworth Christmas Market has just what you need for a truly immersive Christmas experience. Each year, Chatsworth House opens its doors to provide you with an enchanting Christmas evening from the 22nd of November to the 21st of December. After the house closes to the public, you can warm up with a delicious mince pie and a glass of wine, as you enjoy live music from traditional bell ringers and a strings trio. You can also find yourself exploring the house dressed for Christmas whilst your favourite childhood stories come alive around you.

This year Paguro was delighted to be a part of the Chatsworth Christmas Market fun. We showcased a wide variety of all our vegan and upcycled products to a whole host of market-goers, looking to inspire the way they shop at Christmas. Our range of bags, accessories and jewellery, as well as the odd inner tube Christmas decorations, made quite the impression on the Chatsworth people. Our unique products make for perfect gifts all while engaging people to think about the sustainability of where their Christmas gifts come from and how they’re made.

If you missed us at Chatsworth Christmas Market, there’s no need to worry. We will be at Nottingham’s Winter Wonderland until the 24th of December showcasing some of our best products that make for truly unique Christmas gifts. We will also be showcasing at Top Drawer, the UK’s leading retail trade event for creative lifestyle buyers, in January 2019.
