The canvas in these bags started life as decommissioned army tents - heavy-duty fabric built to stand up to wind, rain and rough handling. Instead of being thrown away, it's cleaned, cut and stitched by hand into bags made for daily life, with tough recycled inner tube trims and straps. Because every tent has its own marks and wear, no two bags are ever the same.

Are army canvas bags waterproof?

The canvas itself is water-resistant, so these bags handle everyday rain well. They aren't fully waterproof, because the seams and zips aren't sealed - for extra protection in heavy weather, a waterproofing spray for tents works well.

How do I clean it?

Wipe clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry. Please don't machine wash.
