A vegan belt that isn't made from plastic
Most vegan belts are made from PU or PVC - plastic made to look like leather. Ours are made from reclaimed rubber that has already had one life, so nothing new is made and nothing is wasted.
- Motorbike tyre belts are cut from genuine reclaimed motorbike tyres by our artisan partners in Indonesia. Reclaimed tyres are usually worn smooth, so the tread pattern is hand-cut back into the rubber - no two belts are the same.
- Bicycle inner tube belts are handmade in the UK from punctured inner tubes collected from bike repair shops. They're softer and lighter, and come with a choice of stitching colours.
Will it last?
Yes. Tyre rubber is built for the road, so it doesn't crack or peel like plastic 'vegan leather'. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
