The belt is handcrafted by our artisan partners in Indonesia from a genuine reclaimed motorbike tyre. The original tyres are worn smooth from the road, so the tread pattern you see isn't the tyre's own — it's hand-cut into the rubber by the artisan to recreate that original classic tyre-tread look. The bracelet is hand-linked from a reclaimed bicycle chain sourced from local repair shops here in the UK.

  Our process is — turning the reclaimed rubber and bike chain into these pieces involves no animal-derived materials or processes. As with any reclaimed material, we can't verify the original manufacturing ingredients of the tyre itself, so we can't claim the raw material with absolute certainty — but nothing we add or do to it is animal-derived.

• Will my set look exactly like the photos?
  No two pieces are ever identical, since both are cut from genuinely reclaimed materials — the tyre tread pattern and chain link wear vary piece to piece, which is part of the handmade character, not a defect.
